Blue Cohosh #2 (Caulophyllum thalictroides)

A woodland native well known for it’s medicinal value. Host to 3 species of Lepidoptera. Foliage has a blue sheen, especially in the spring. Insignificant yellowish green flowers in spring are followed by pairs of beautiful metallic blue fruits in late summer. Best in rich, moist soil. OH native. Shade 12-18″ Zone 3
