Description
Clusters of creamy white flowers top this large prairie plant that can reach heights of 8′ tall. Blooms appear in mid-summer on second year plants when grown from seed. Its flowers are often visited by small bees and flies which help pollinate it. It is a dramatic, tall prairie plant that has strong, upright purple stems with attractive foliage that can often be 8″ wide. Average to dry well drained soil. Due to its large size and aggressive nature, it may not be suitable for smaller gardens. It is deer resistant.
