Wild Hyacinth is a stunning native wildflower that puts on a spectacular show of sky blue flowers in mid-spring. The grass-like foliage emerges early in the season, followed by the vertical flower stalk which rises 1-3′ tall. The loose spikes of sweetly fragrant flowers look enchanting while drifting through open woods, moist meadows and in borders or around water features. They will reseed and grow from bulb offshoots to create colonies in favorably rich and moist conditions, but the plants entirely vanish in their midsummer dormancy.
