Description
It has yucca-like foliage that is bristly and rough which makes it unappealing to rabbits and deer. The plant is topped with unique globe shaped 1′” white spiky flowers. They resemble thistles and appear in mid-summer. Rattlesnake Master attracts a wide variety of pollinators including small bees and native flies. It can become lanky if planted in less than full sun. Works nicely as an excellent specimen plant or in masses to naturalize an area. Does best in medium to dry soils. Medicinal uses. Potentially threatened species in OH.
