Helianthus divaricatus #2 (Woodland Sunflower)

A native sunflower with light yellow flowers in late summer. Excellent for butterflies. Host for 73 species of Lepidoptera. Tough dependable plant for average to dry soils. Can handle moist sandy locations as well.  Found in woodland edges and stream banks. Great for naturalizing meadows.
